KONGU LEO CLUB

It is the junior wing of the Lions club. This committee will select the office bearers of Leo club and arrange for their installation. It will involve the students who have aptitude in community service. This Committee will use the services of Leo Club in our college.

Our club is successfully running with 160 active Leo Members with the Great support and guidance of our college management and our Mother's Club and Lions Club of Karur. We are utilizing this wonderful opportunity to serve our society and develop our skills in this stage. We are very glad to be Leo Members.

Our Successful Events Of (2007-2008) Journey For Sight


On 10th August 2007, our club conducted the Journey for Cycle Rally starting from SP Office. This rally was started by our Chief guest MJF Lions S. Vedhanayakam.More than 25 Leo members participated in the cycle rally. The main aim of this program is to encourage the Blind People.

Tree Planitary


On 15th August 2007, our Club members conducted the 'Tree Planting' Function at Kongu College of Arts and Science and Kongu School, Karur for Independence day celebration.
On the same day our club Members went to 'ANBU KARANGAL' to donate the necessary things to the children.

Vettrien Vedhaigal


We have eminent resource persons for the session. The inauguration was presided by Mr.V. Ramasamy, DEO and the Validiction was presided by Rtn. Rajendran, Correspondent, Kongu High School, Karur.On 24th January 2008, we have one day career guidance programme named “VETTRIEN VEDHAIGAL” for +2 students of Government Schools in rural areas around Karur district. Nearly 560 Students participated in this programme. We also arranged Kodai FM`s live relay programme namely “Thedi varum thendral” from the venue itself.

Teachers Day Celebration


On 25th September 2007, our Mother club invited all our club members to invite the Governor of Mother's Club. Then we conducted the cultural programs in St. Theresa’s girls higher secondary school, Karur. On the same day we joined the Traffic Awareness program. Then our Mother club's Governor donated books to poor students in Kumaran school, karur. Our club members donated blood in Karur Blood Bank.

Regional Conference


On 18th December 2007, 'BREAK THRU' program was conducted in our college. We invited the chief guest Mr. G. Sivaraman (Oneness University ) to give useful speech to develop the students' memory power.
